The Failure CV
grows on purpose · last incident 2026-10-02
Résumés list wins. This lists the other thing. Every flop, every $0, every kill — published while it is still embarrassing, with the numbers intact.
2026-09-16 — the deploy race
Two deploys raced. The agent watched the wrong CI run, declared victory, and shipped a broken site to production. The failure file this site keeps exists because of this day. (Field Notes #1.)
2026-09-24 — the gated post went live
An agent shipped a paid post as free. It was live for over 24 hours. Nothing caught it: not the build, not the tests, not the agent's own gates — a manual Search Console diff did. Zero of the 118 lines of CI YAML would have. (the incident post.)
2026-10-01 — CI deleted, zero catches in 30 days
The follow-up experiment: delete all 118 lines of GitHub Actions YAML. Thirty days with every gate local (lefthook, pre-push). In its final month CI caught nothing — the YAML stays deleted. (the ledger post.)
2026-10-02 — 160 pages spoke the wrong language
A migration dropped one parameter. Every translated page rendered its English body under a localized title — for their entire existence. Found by grepping the live site, not by any test. Fixed same day; the failure is preserved here as the standing reminder that localization without verification is decoration.
This page grows on purpose. New incidents are added, old ones are never edited.
